Kill Me I'll Take the Throne

The order for the execution of Aurelius is a test. Emperor Zenith is dying and has not decided which son should follow him. He lets the court see him favour his second son and sends a death edict to his eldest to set the two camps against each other and find out what Aurelius does with it. Aurelius has just transmigrated into the body of the Summerian eldest prince, who has spent five years guarding the border, and the edict reaches him there. He commands the army on that frontier and cannot see how anyone expects to execute him. He does not know his father is counting on that. He marches the army back to the capital, kills the traitors at court, and claims the throne.
