The Prince's Secret Chef

Sherry dies out in the wasteland and wakes inside a story, in the body of the prince's consort who is written to die early. The prince is Edgar, who does not speak and has no warmth for anyone, and who barely eats. Sherry has a wood-element ability and she can cook, and she uses both on his refusal to eat, first getting food into him, then sitting with him through the knot underneath it. His voice comes back slowly. The two of them go from leaning on each other to something neither will name, with the old nurse and others in the household quietly pushing them along, and the ending Sherry was supposed to have keeps waiting for her.
