Wild Heats

Among the families Lin Suihuan married into, a husband and wife are expected to keep separate lives outside the house and not ask each other about it. She thought Yu Jingchuan would be the exception to that. A woman comes to see her and says plainly that Jingchuan loves her. Lin Suihuan takes it to her husband and asks him why. What she gets back is that if she is unhappy with the arrangement she is free to find someone of her own. On their wedding anniversary Yu Jingchuan pushes open the door of his own house and a man is standing there in a bathrobe, comfortable, unhurried. His sister is tired and sleeping, the man says, so anything Yu needs can be taken up with him.
