The Fallen Monarch's Rise

The Queen Dowager and the Queen's faction set Xavier Taylor up. They steer him into leading a campaign against Northland in person, and Northland takes him alive. He is kept there as a hostage under the label of an exchange student, humiliated without end, and marched to the gates of the enemy capital for a ceremony of submission before its ruler. A servant girl, Erin, is about to be assaulted when a man from the present day wakes up inside Xavier's body. He takes in the memories of the man who was there before him and the position he is now in. At the same moment a system awakens in him. It hands out tasks, and every task he completes pays out a reward of some kind. With the rewards he breaks out of his cage and kills the men who held him. He takes Erin and one other woman out with him, and afterwards goes after the Northland army.
