Seven Years as Your Stand-In

Wynne Lynch was with Nathan Griffin before he died. The last thing he asked of her was that she look after his twin brother Nolan for seven years, and she agreed to it. Part of why she could do it is that Nolan has his brother's face. She takes a job as Nolan's secretary and stays in it. She drinks in his place, and when a knife is meant for him she takes that too. She runs in a race where people get killed and jumps out of a plane at altitude, both times because he needs it done. Everyone watching decides she is a woman degrading herself over a man who will not have her. Nolan lets Rowena Sutter treat her however she likes across those years, and Rowena goes at her hard. He does not stop it. What he works out, late, is that his own feelings for Wynne are not what he had assumed, and by then the seven years are nearly up and Wynne has decided to go.
