The Mafia Lord's Illegal Love

Henry wants Wendy back. He gave her up six years ago by playing out a betrayal in front of her and walking away, and he has let her believe ever since that he did it for money. She was going to have a career in law, and he stepped out of the way of it. He now runs the underworld of the city, and she has become a lawyer with no lost cases behind her. An old case brings them face to face again, and she meets him with the version of him she was left with. He goes after her anyway, past the point where it does him any good. The danger this time comes from his own side. The woman he is now engaged to sees the marriage slipping away and has Wendy kidnapped, with a plan to make sure Wendy can never speak again. What Henry did six years ago comes out in the middle of this, and it puts more distance between them than there was before.
