The Ocean's Gaze

Henry works as a salvager in the Mynara Sea, pulling wrecks off the sea floor for a wage. A storm sweeps him overboard and he comes out of it holding the Trident of the Sea King, which wakes an eye that shows him where treasure lies and what it is. The northern waters are held by pirates and by criminal outfits that fight each other over them, and Henry has to move through that. He takes on Milo, who stays loyal to him, and allies with Sophia, a daughter of the merchant chamber, to build selling channels for what he brings up. The money accumulates, his reach widens, and he becomes the richest of the sea kings, with the oceans of the world as the next thing he means to take.
