Queen of Beasts

Selene Harper is eighteen and the least noticed student in her school, thick glasses, a washed-out hoodie, always in a corner. The night before the graduation dance she confesses to Ethan Carter, the boy next door she has wanted for four years. He laughs at her in front of everyone with Brittany Vance, a wolf-clan heiress, on his arm, and the rest of the room laughs with him. Selene runs into the woods and collides with Ronan Sinclair, the transfer student everyone avoids. They spend the night together, and he burns the wolves' oldest soul mark into the back of her neck, a binding that cannot be undone. By morning he is gone. Selene finds her eyesight sharper than a hawk's and her skin clear, and she no longer needs the glasses. The crescent on her neck starts to burn, and a line of red text runs across her phone: find the wolf king who marked you within seventy-two hours or the moonlight bloodline vanishes and you become prey to every wolf alive. Ronan is the Silver Moon King who disappeared a decade ago, hunted by several factions, and her blood is the only thing that settles the beast in him. He is looking for her too. At the dance she arrives without the glasses and Ronan steps in when Ethan and Brittany corner her. Others come for her power after that, and a tiger-clan general named Lysander Kane and a winged ruler named Cassian Vega turn up on her side.
