Crown Prince, Meet Your Bandit Queen

Carol Roemer runs Cloudbreak Keep, and Cody Jordan is the crown prince who was supposed to be marrying someone else. He refused the match his father arranged and took troops out after bandits instead, meaning to come back with a reputation. Carol's people caught him. She looked him over, decided she wanted him, and had him carried back to the keep as her husband. They are an official and an outlaw, and neither of them stops arguing about it. The fighting turns into something else while they are still testing each other. When Cody's rank finally comes out, they learn that the emperor and Carol's father had planned the whole arrangement between them from the start.
