Sophia takes an overdose and does not die. She wakes in her husband Matthew's body, and Matthew is in hers. Neither of them can undo it, so they each go on with the other's day. Sophia walks into his office and handles the fights he had been losing, deals with his mistress Christy on her own terms, and drags his career back into shape. Matthew is left in the house with Janet, his mother, and the endless unpaid work of a wife nobody thanks. He learns what the mother-in-law says when the wife is the only one in the room.
