The Useless Disciple Was Actually a God?

The Upper Realm sends an envoy down for the stone heart, and the Xuantian sect is cut through to reach the disciple who carries it in his chest. The disciple is Qi Tian, whom the sect had written off as having no gift for cultivation at all. A hundred thousand years earlier he was the immortal Lingming, and the powers above him went back on their word and stripped him of everything he had. What came back was sealed. The first crack in it shows at the sect tournament, where he pulls a thunder dragon apart and breaks the forbidden treasures the other prodigies bring out. Then the envoy arrives. His senior sister puts herself between them, and what happens to her in front of him takes the seal off. He comes back with gold fire around him and a staff in his hand, and he goes up toward the tower where the demons are kept.
