That Mechanic Is a Racing Legend!

Chen Wangzhou washes and repairs cars at a shop in Shenjia village, keeping his head down and his hands busy with brake pads and oil changes. Nobody in the village treats him as anything more than the shop's mechanic. Five years earlier he was the top name in racing, undefeated on every track he entered, until his younger brother died in a crash during a race. He walked away from the sport afterward, carrying the guilt for what happened, and settled into the village to live without being recognized. The Feiqi racing team has its eye on the mountain road that runs through Shenjia village, a stretch of switchbacks and blind curves that the villagers use every day. The team sets up a scheme that puts the villagers in debt, then tells them the only way to settle it and keep the road is to win a race against Feiqi's drivers. The villagers have no one who can compete at that level. Chen Wangzhou stops pretending to be just a mechanic and gets back behind the wheel. He drifts through the mountain curves against Feiqi's drivers and beats them one after another, embarrassing riders who came in expecting an easy win over village amateurs. The road stays with the village. Afterward he starts working with a handful of local young people who have wanted to race for years but never had the training or the car to do it, taking them from amateur runs on the mountain road toward competitions with real stakes. Racing again puts him back in contact with the accident that took his brother, and with people from his old life who remember exactly who he used to be.
