A Fox Demon's Forbidden Love

Su Jiuwei has the lowest blood in the fox clan and takes the job because the payment is in spirit stones: get close to Bai Yuan, the immortal lord who cannot speak, and make him talk. The closer she gets, the less the assignment looks like what she was told. Bai Yuan has been bound by a forbidden technique laid on him by his own sister, the clan's holy maiden, and the terms are simple, if he ever feels love for anyone he dies. He has been kept that way for three hundred years. The one thing that undoes it is the demon emperor's heart blood, which happens to be in Su Jiuwei's veins, and the holy maiden knows it. She sent the fox in expecting her to stay useless and to keep Bai Yuan sealed until he is weak enough to strip of his cultivation. Su Jiuwei finds an ally, works out which parts of what she was told were lies, and decides to open her own veins for a man she was hired to betray.
