Ancient World, Modern Genius!

Lin Yan wakes up in an ancient border province with a system attached to him that converts other people's emotions into points, and points into modern goods and machinery. He is made magistrate of Yunxi County, which is poor and behind. He lays paved roads, brings in steam engines, reorganizes farming and the movement of grain, and builds places where ordinary people can go for entertainment. A woman arrives travelling in disguise to inspect the county, Xiao Qingyuan, and her first reading of him is bad. She stays long enough to watch how he works and who he works for, and her opinion turns. The two of them start running the reforms together. That is where the trouble begins, because the conservative faction at court sees what a magistrate with steam power means for them, and they answer with plots that are meant to be fatal.
