The Mother's Betrayal

Cheng Qingyan paid for a whole teaching building to be put up on campus so that his younger brother Cheng Qinglang would get the Cambridge exchange place. The brother calls him afterward in tears. The place went to someone else, a spoiled rich boy named Lu Sicheng. Cheng Qingyan goes to the school office to have it out with him and hears Lu Sicheng announce, with the confidence of a person who has never been refused anything, that his mother is Lu Mingyue, chairwoman of Yuanxing Technology. Cheng Qingyan knows that name. Lu Mingyue is his own mother, the woman who walked out on him, on Qinglang, and on their father years ago, and who has spent the time since raising the boy now standing in front of him and using her position to take things from her first sons. The confrontation that follows is with the school, with Lu Sicheng, and eventually with the woman herself, and Cheng Qingyan decides he is going to take back what belonged to his brother.
