Help! He Wants to Burn Me Alive!

Lilie Thomas is the daughter of a billionaire. Three years ago she broke off relations with her father, Samuel Thomas, to marry Edward Young against his wishes. The marriage went bad quickly. Edward took up with his widowed sister-in-law, Eva Ward, and the whole Young household joined in on making Louisa's life miserable. Eva's son is sick, and the family decided that the marrow of Louisa's unborn child, eight months along, would be used to treat him. Samuel, now a widower after his wife's death, misses his daughter. He comes back to the area under the cover of inspecting a local investment project, hoping to repair things. Edward tells him Louisa died in childbirth. In fact she is being held in the house, and the plan is to deliver the baby early by cesarean and then be rid of her. Samuel does not accept the story and says he will see her alive or see the body. Louisa hears her father is nearby and starts trying to get word to him. Around the lies and the staged explanations, Samuel keeps looking.
