The Scarlet Rose

An agent known as the Scarlet Specter dies and wakes up in the body of Scarlet Jones, an overweight girl her classmates have spent years pushing around. She keeps the training and the mind. She starts by solving a mess at the school that the staff cannot handle, which gets her flagged for a special admission place at a top university. Her family assume she is lying about all of it and her classmates assume worse. She works on getting her own body back into shape and on paying for treatment for her younger brother. Along the way she is accused of cheating on an exam and clears herself in front of the people who accused her, and she turns down the most popular boy in the school on the spot when he is confessed to, in public, which nobody expected. A chance meeting with Henry Quinn, who carries real weight in the Capital, opens doors she could not have opened alone, and the people who used to bully her start to work out that they never knew who they were dealing with.
