Synopsis

A medical accident sends twenty-second-century doctor Serena Wade into Republican-era China as the disgraced wife of marshal's son Eric Heaven. Her advanced treatment saves members of his household and challenges the traditions used to belittle her. Eric's reluctant respect for her skill gradually becomes love.

Episode 1 might make you go "what IS this lunatic" and bail. He's my favorite short-drama actor and even I hesitated. Please stay with it!! The acting is unreal, the way his eyes go, the way he smiles, each one gets me >_<

My favorite of his modern-set work and honestly my favorite short drama full stop. You get the complete unhinged-psycho performance, and I'd say his acting leveled up here. If you're working through his filmography, this is the one.
