Synopsis

Unbeknownst to himself, Gu Yan is the reincarnation of a Sage, whose poetry holds the power to stir the heavens and earth. During a casual recital, his verse triggers a celestial anomaly that disrupts a fierce battle between the Celestial Maiden of Qingqiu and the Spirit-Eyed Empress. Episode 1 might make you go "what IS this lunatic" and bail. He's my favorite short-drama actor and even I hesitated. Please stay with it!! The acting is unreal, the way his eyes go, the way he smiles, each one gets me >_<

My favorite of his modern-set work and honestly my favorite short drama full stop. You get the complete unhinged-psycho performance, and I'd say his acting leveled up here. If you're working through his filmography, this is the one.
