Her Calculated Love, His Irresistible Obsession

Kang Renran needed money for Guo Bingnian's treatment and a way to get her brother out of prison, so she married Lu Shi'an, who was at that point in a quarrel with Shu Ran, the woman he had never got over. Guo Bingnian was her first love. A year into the marriage Lu Shi'an treats her as something useful and otherwise beneath his notice. Shu Ran comes back from abroad to take the public relations director's job at Songcheng Group. Kang Renran decides on a divorce. She needs the rent for a second-hand luxury goods shop, so she puts up the Hermès Himalaya bag Lu Shi'an gave her. Shu Ran bids it up on purpose and takes it, then wears it to a banquet along with a bracelet of Kang Renran's to get a reaction out of her. Kang Renran uses the attention to announce that she is opening the shop, and the provocation turns into publicity for it. After that she handles Lu Shi'an while getting the shop ready. Guo Bingnian's illness gets worse and she helps him through it, which Lu Shi'an reads the wrong way. Shu Ran keeps setting things up against her.
