Clans at War

Ye Yun traveled around with his young daughter. They came to a contest where Qin Yubing's hand was the prize, and through a mix-up the two of them ended up married by agreement. Nobody there knew that Ye Yun was the first martial artist under heaven; her family took him for a beggar. Her parents made their objections plain once he was in the house, and he answered them with what he could do, which set them back each time. Wang Haotian of the Wang family, first of the eight houses of North City, had wanted Qin Yubing for years. When word reached him that she had married a beggar, he announced that he would take the top place at the Martial God Altar and drive the Qins out of North City. Qin Yubing did not think that could be turned around, and she went to the Altar by herself. Ye Yun heard what her chances were there and set out after her with his daughter.
