Breaking Up Was the Glow-Up

Anna Snow was engaged to George Adler and the wedding was already arranged. She found out before the day that George had been sleeping with a woman who worked at his company, and that the woman was pregnant. Anna went to Nathan Vance, who had been George's rival for years, and asked him to break the wedding up and marry her instead. He did, and the two of them married on the spot. George spent the weeks after that trying to get her back. None of it worked. He went up a building and jumped off. The news brought on his grandmother's heart attack, and George himself came out of the fall with both legs crippled and a wheelchair to get around in. Once she was living with Nathan, Anna found out he had been in love with her for years and had never said anything about it. They grew closer over that period, while another threat was working its way toward the two of them.
