Queen of Her Own Fate

Xavier Smith and Lily Carter were the couple everyone in Cloudville pointed to, a top attorney married to a woman who ran her own company. Xavier throws a major case on purpose to repay a favor to his junior colleague, Silvia Quinn, and the loss leaves Lily's company owing an enormous settlement. Lily then finds out the two of them arranged the loss between them and pocketed the money, and that Xavier and Silvia have been involved for some time. Lily files for divorce and sues. Silvia comes after her to make her withdraw the suit, going as far as having her taken and held. The case goes ahead anyway, with falsified evidence and false testimony coming out in court. Lily has another lawyer, Nathan Su, working the case with her, and afterwards she starts over.
