Moonlight Rust

Caleb Baker wanted to find his younger brother Brian. Their parents died when they were children and the family had nothing, so Caleb, the elder, left to work and gave Brian the $200 their parents had left. More than ten years of that work made him the richest man in the area with a company of his own, and he sent people out to look for Brian. They found him working at a mine in the next village. Caleb went there without saying who he was. The mine turned out to belong to his own company. The man running it was taking cuts from the workers behind their backs and holding back their wages, and Brian was among them. Caleb stepped in for his brother, and the mine boss was punished under the law. Once the brothers knew each other again, Caleb learned that Brian had married and had a daughter.
