The female protagonist, Blair Nash, suffers from a mental illness and has been institutionalized in a psychiatric hospital for ten years. That is, until she encounters a therapeutic comfort doll. With the help of its healing properties, she finally recovers and is discharged. Her doctor advises her that with the New Year approaching, she should go home, be with her parents, and live a normal life. However, upon returning home, she discovers her parents are being bullied by their malicious neighbor, Danny Reed. Blair tries to intervene and protect them, but her parents stop her, fearing an escalation of the conflict.
