Synopsis
In a palace intrigue novel, a minor maid is beaten to death with a rod within the first pages. Shen Zhaodi, a doctor of traditional Chinese medicine from the present day, is pulled into that novel and wakes as the maid. She has her medical training, and she remembers how the plot runs. She cures the Empress Dowager. The novel's original female lead gets her footing at court with Shen Zhaodi's help. The Fourteenth Prince, who is cold and proud, becomes involved with her, and the romance between them is sweet and full of hurt at the same time.
