The Boss's Undercover Love

James Zook is the CEO of Zook Group, and he is sitting in one of its branch offices posing as a new employee while Sarah Bell, who has no idea who he is, shows him how to slack off. She is past caring about the job. Sarah helped Leon Bailey, her boyfriend at the time, become manager of the branch. Once he had the post he started an affair with an intern, Vera Adams, and promoted her to vice president, which made Vera Sarah's direct superior. Vera used the position to hound her until Sarah handed in her resignation, and the project Sarah had been carrying stalled and cost the company money. That is what James came down from head office to look into. Her attitude makes him want her out. Then he learns she was once part of the branch's core staff. At the welcome party Vera sets out to drug him, the plan goes wrong, and it is James and Sarah who spend the night together. Vera keeps up the pressure, and as James pieces together why Sarah was never given her due he steps in to protect her and helps her recover her reputation. The two fall in love over the work.
