Blind to Love, Lost in Regret

Erik Barton is the son of a servant in the Mercer house and has been in love with Celeste Mercer since they were children, which he never tells her. Celeste loses her sight saving Adrian Greene, the boy she grew up with, and Adrian leaves her afterward. Her family puts her out and she moves into the old family house. Erik goes with her and looks after her there, and no one else does. Her sight comes back and she takes control of the family again. The first thing she does with that is register a marriage with Adrian, which stops him from marrying an older woman. Erik gives up on her and leaves without saying where he is going. Celeste finds out he is gone and sets out to get him back.
