Little Maid, I Have a Phoenix

Alaric passes at the Happy Sect for someone with no ability worth speaking of. His cultivation is at the top level and the power banked behind it would take the world apart, and none of it comes loose except through a woman with the Innate Spiritual Body. He has kept his body untouched the whole time he has been waiting for one to turn up. Eleanor is the sect's Holy Maiden and she has that body. She came to him dressed as a maid, with a cultivation partner she could work like a puppet as the object. In the course of it she took for herself an opportunity that had not been meant for her, and from then on she and her mother were both working on him. His identity came out at the Partner Ceremony. The Demon Sect attacked while the ceremony was running. The chicken Alaric had been keeping in the yard was an Ancient Phoenix, and it took its true shape in front of the hall.
