The Furless One

Leila's family marries her off to Darian, the man the North calls the mad wolf. He treats her as someone under his protection and keeps the rest of the pack away from her. Two years earlier that same pack framed her and threw her into the Howling Chasm, where she lost an arm. While she was gone, another woman was taken for the Alpha's daughter and built her plans on that. Leila's grandmother tells the pack that Leila is the one born to the Alpha, and the other woman's position comes apart. The wolf strength Leila has never used starts to wake, and she cuts off the family that raised her.
