Renzo's father runs a criminal organisation, and the people close to him are the way other men get at him. Nadia was with Renzo when she found out she was pregnant. His father told her Renzo would live longer if she went, so she ended it and left. Renzo was not told about the child. Nadia raised their daughter on her own. The girl was diagnosed with leukemia and Nadia took whatever work she could get to cover the treatment. They met again years later and neither of them wanted it.
