Synopsis
Lexie is eighteen and lives in Ethan's house as his ward. Her aunt had her before that, beat her and put her out. Ethan flies for a living and has money, and he was her father's closest friend, and her father asked him to look after her until she turned twenty-three. She gets bullied at school. She starts working later on and has trouble with that too. What is between them moves from looking after her to something neither of them is supposed to want, and Ethan holds to the terms he agreed to. There are years between them, and the promise runs to her twenty-third birthday.
