Racing to My Heart

Synopsis

Zoey Jones worked as a cleaner for a racing team. Her husband James betrayed her and used her for his own ends. She asked for a divorce and he refused to grant one on any straightforward terms. Justin, the team's driver and a NASCAR champion, was her employer, and he stepped in to help her while she was trying to get out of the marriage. They went through a series of difficulties together and grew attached. Justin had been looking for the girl he grew up with in the orphanage, the one he thought of when he raced. Around the time the two of them were deciding whether to say anything about how they felt, Justin learned that Zoey was that girl.

Episode 1 might make you go "what IS this lunatic" and bail. He's my favorite short-drama actor and even I hesitated. Please stay with it!! The acting is unreal, the way his eyes go, the way he smiles, each one gets me >_<

My favorite of his modern-set work and honestly my favorite short drama full stop. You get the complete unhinged-psycho performance, and I'd say his acting leveled up here. If you're working through his filmography, this is the one.

The plot is hard to follow and never really comes together. With all the flashbacks and dream sequences, the pacing has no tension at all…
