What Remains After Love Burns Out

Gu Yunxiao met Meng Qingyue seven years before the accident and went after her from that first meeting. Everyone around them knew about it. She never agreed to any of it, because she had not let go of the man she had been with before him. A car crash put Gu Yunxiao in the hospital. When he came out of it his memory was intact except for her. He asked Meng Shizhao, her brother, who had sat with him through the recovery, whether he and Meng Qingyue had ever been together. Shizhao told him his sister had never gotten over her first love and had never said yes. Gu Yunxiao nodded, and then deleted everything on his phone that had anything to do with her. In the days after that Meng Qingyue noticed he was behaving differently toward her, and worked out that she had fallen in love with him somewhere along the way.
