Uncle William, Please Say I Do!

William is a businessman whose nephew Jason is getting engaged. Months before the party, William was in a car crash that nearly killed him, and the woman who pulled him out was Alaina. He made her a promise then. At the engagement party he finds her again and learns she is the bride. He says nothing about how he feels and gives her a family heirloom. Jason then betrays her, and Alaina calls off the engagement. Alaina's grandmother has Alzheimer's, which is getting worse, and she wants to see Alaina married. Alaina goes to William and asks him to marry her under a secret contract lasting one year. William agrees, and treats the year as his chance with her. He keeps her out of trouble, and over the year she begins to want him too.
