A Couple Who Got Married First

Tae-yeon married Do-joon out of necessity, and within days of the wedding he left for the United States without her, gone for a year and six months. She stayed behind in the apartment they were supposed to share, running the marriage in name only, with a divorce already set for two months out. Do-joon came back without any notice, first to the apartment and then to her office, carrying a set of photographs someone had mailed him. He asked her whether she had always used that innocent face to lure men, and told her flatly that he wanted to know what she was really hiding from him. She answered that if he was so curious he could look into her himself. He had been cold to her since the wedding, uninterested in the marriage beyond its paperwork, but after his return he started following her, asking about her past, checking who she saw and where she went. He told her he thought he had gone crazy over her, and that he had no intention of staying married to her in name only, that he was in love with her. Tae-yeon did not tell him where the photographs might have come from, or who could have wanted him to see them.
