She Ruled the Wilderness

The world has already ended. Major Sevyn wakes in the body of another woman with the same name, a woman everyone around her remembers for taking up with a scoundrel and for how she treated her own children. That reputation has already cost her; she has been banished, food and supplies are scarce, and the husband and children she is now attached to want nothing to do with her. What she has that they do not know about is a hidden space stocked with supplies, more than the settlement outside can find in a season. She starts using it carefully, feeding people and trading, while the family watches a woman they hate behave in ways the old Sevyn never would, and draws its own conclusions about why.
