Claude's grandmother is in a coma, and the thing she has been waiting for is a great-grandchild he does not have. At the hospital he takes hold of a pregnant woman he has never spoken to, walks her to the bedside and tells his grandmother that the baby is his. His grandmother comes out of danger that day. That night Claude dreams about the woman. Chloe is going through the pregnancy on her own. The man at the hospital is the biological father of her child, and she takes running into him there for a coincidence that will not repeat.
