When the Son-in-Law Strikes Back

Finn is taking his father to the city for treatment when he pulls an old man out of the water. He does not know the man is the richest person in Harborhaven. The old man has the whole city searched for whoever saved him, and when the two meet again he is so taken with Finn's character that he decides he wants Finn as his heir. Finn knows nothing about this. Finn needs money for his father's treatment, so he agrees to marry into the Spencer family as a live-in son-in-law. The Spencers set the marriage up so that he would take responsibility for something he had no part in, and once he is in the house they treat him with contempt. They also mistreat his sick father in secret, and the father dies. At the funeral the Spencers insult Finn in front of the mourners. The old man he saved cannot stand watching it and steps in to help Finn deal with the family. The Spencers hold this against Finn and turn on his family's ancestral home, and after that comes one scheme after another. Finn sees what the family is and starts to push back, and as he does he shows the old man what he is capable of.
