Katherine Sterling is at home when streamer Lucy Lowell arrives with a group calling itself the Anti-Mistress Squad and forces her way into the mansion. Lucy tells the cameras that she is Wyatt Evans's legal wife and that Katherine is the mistress who broke up their marriage. The clip spreads within hours. Strangers gather outside the gate, throw paint at the windows, and smash part of the front hall before Wyatt gets home. When Wyatt arrives he tells the crowd he has never had a relationship with Lucy Lowell. He says it flatly, without explaining why she would make the claim in the first place, and he does not ask the group to leave. Katherine, who has been married to him for years and has the marriage certificate to prove it, is left standing in her own vandalized house being called the other woman on a livestream watched by thousands. She starts asking around about Lucy and about Wyatt's finances, and the answers do not match what he has told her. His business success traces back to money and connections from his own family rather than anything he built himself, and some of the property registered under their joint names has quietly been transferred out through channels a lawyer friend flags as improper. While she is digging through the paperwork, she finds messages between Wyatt and her best friend, Amber May, that go back further than she wants to believe. Katherine confronts Amber, who admits to seeing Wyatt but claims she didn't know Katherine was his wife rather than his mistress. It becomes clear that Lucy, Amber, and Wyatt have coordinated the whole accusation, timing the livestream ambush to turn public opinion against Katherine before she could explain her side, with the goal of pushing her out of the marriage and out of the assets tied to it. Katherine starts building her own case instead of answering the mob directly. She collects the transfer records, tracks down a member of Lucy's Anti-Mistress Squad willing to talk about who organized the raid on her house, and lines up a lawyer to file over the property moved without her signature. Wyatt, unaware how much she already has, keeps telling reporters there is nothing between him and Lucy.
