When Roses Bleed

Jodelle keeps house for Eddie Under's mother and son and works on the company she helped him start. Eddie has money now and treats her as something to be got rid of, and he has been getting close to Kara Todd, the adopted granddaughter of the Todd family, for what the connection is worth to him. Jodelle is Juneau Todd. She walked out of the Todd house with nothing after her father's affair and her mother's death, and she was at the bottom of it when Eddie picked her up, so she gave him a different name and stayed on. Kara works out who she is. She drugs her and hands her over to a group of men. Simon Vance, heir to the Vance Group, gets there before they are done. He and Juneau were promised to each other as children, and three years ago she broke it off and disappeared. There is a wedding being arranged between them now, and Simon will not say what he wants out of it.
