Marital Malpractice

Chandler goes back to the hospital and works as a surgeon. Kevin needs an operation and Sylvia has to come and ask him for it, since he is the surgeon whose results everyone talks about. Chandler knows perfectly well that she is the woman he was married to for three years without either of them ever seeing the other's face, an arrangement her lawyer handled from start to finish. He agrees to operate and then starts naming his terms: a new laboratory, better surgical equipment, a building donated to Sea City Hospital. Kevin costs Sylvia's group its partnership with the Qi family. Chandler goes to her to help with it and she takes it the wrong way and turns him down. At a charity gala he arrives as Rachel's date, and what comes out about him there surprises everyone in the room. Laura pursues him openly, which Sylvia does not enjoy watching. Wayne accuses him of something he did not do and the press runs with it. Sylvia and Laura each use what connections they have to pull him out of it. Sylvia sees the White family's manipulations for what they are and cuts herself off from Kevin's people. She also finds out who Chandler is. The misunderstandings come apart one at a time and the two of them start again.
