Unmasked: The True Genius

Julian Stone and his research partner finish building a photonic calculator, work that puts Julian in line for national recognition. Before any of that is announced he goes home to visit relatives. His wife Mia is already there, and the family has been pressing her about company shares, treating her as the weak point to lean on because they assume the man she married is nobody. Julian arrives in the middle of it. Mia's own family then takes her away. Julian tracks her to a hotel and gets as far as the door, where he is taken for a con man trying to talk his way in. Inside, the arrangement becomes clear: her relatives have lined up a marriage for Mia with a man presenting himself as the celebrated Dr. Julian, and there is money in it for them once the match is made. Interests from abroad have also been circling the calculator project, sending people to make Julian offers he turns down. His partner is the one who puts the fraud in the open, with the research credentials to prove which of the two men actually did the work, and the impostor is arrested.
