Hidden Phoenix

Diane Hayes carried the title Nine Phoenix General Star. Her husband died and left a last wish that she seal her martial power. She sealed it and took over a small martial arts hall, and for eighteen years she ran it. Her son grew up there. Nobody told him who his mother had been. He set out to join the City Watch and take revenge for his father's death. Diane blocked him. The two of them fought about it, hard. While that was still going on, a survivor of the Golden Dragon Society came to the hall and issued a challenge over the hall's place in the City Watch intake. The fight put her son in danger. Diane broke the seal and used her spear, the Rainstorm Pear Blossom, in front of everyone there. Word of the spear got around, and people began asking about her past. She and others went up against what was left of the Society and swore to put justice back into the City Watch.
