The Day She Saw Again

Evelyn Lewis cannot see. Her husband took her eyes in the third year of their marriage, on the day she found out she was pregnant and went looking for him to tell him. A sect would take him only if he had nothing left tying him to ordinary life, so he ran a sword through her as well. She lost the child that night in the rain, and he put her in the ground while she was still alive. Her memory comes back down there. She was a princess of the Ninth Heaven before she came to live among people, and there is a throne that was hers. She gets herself out and goes to Evercrest Peak, where the sect is taking in new disciples.
