Hop Between Worlds: He Who Rules All

Walter Ashford reads the will of heaven and sees that a great opportunity lies ahead of Ethan Walker, a cab driver. Walter arranges Ethan's marriage to his granddaughter Grace Ashford, with Ethan entering the Ashford household as a live-in son-in-law. Walter then falls into a deep coma. The Ashfords look down on Ethan and humiliate him at every turn. Grace demands a divorce. Ethan puts up with all of it. He owes Walter for the marriage, and he sinks into despair. Then, by chance, he is made Warden of Passage over the three realms. He saves the life of Charles, a man whose time to die has not come, and Charles's eldest daughter takes a liking to him. Lucas moves to get rid of Ethan, and Grace joins Lucas in working against him. Three great families of the city receive a decree from heaven telling them that the Warden of Passage has come into the world.
