A Poor Man's Wager

At a family dinner a cousin who has recently made money is praised around the table, and the son of the house is measured against him. During the toast the cousin insults the son's father in front of the relatives. The son swallows it. After the meal the cousin sets up a card game and tells him to sit down, and he sits despite his father trying to stop him. The cousin raises the stake every hand, calls the relatives poor, and puts the keys to his Audi on the table. Nobody matches him. The son says, "I'll call," and puts the keys to his BYD down beside them. Everyone at the table goes still.
