Hunter's Prey

The Vampire High Table wiped out the Witcher clan. Silas, the one heir of the bloodline left alive, went after them by himself. He killed one of the Elders and got away badly wounded, and in the escape he took a hostage without meaning to: Aion, a half-blood noble. Aion wanted the Elder Council's rule brought down. With Silas close to death, he forced the Embrace on him and turned him, which tied Silas to him as a piece in his revenge. Neither trusted the other at first. Fighting through situations where either could have died changed that, and something unspoken grew between them that neither was permitted to have. Silas began to fail again, and Aion went as far as a forbidden ritual to share his own life force with him, which bound the two of them together for good.
