Route to Ruin: The Reckoning Awaits

An elderly couple on a bus decide that the young woman in the seat they want should give it up. Hannah Shaw is on her way to her brother's engagement party, and she says no, telling them she is unwell. The old man sits down in her lap anyway. The argument turns physical, the old woman is struck on the head, and the old man grabs at the driver's wheel to make the bus stop. There is a crash. Their daughter Sinta arrives afterward and, instead of accounting for what her parents did, tells people Hannah is her brother's mistress. Sinta is the woman Hannah's brother is engaged to. The truth comes out and the wedding is called off.
