Swordless and Shameless

In the Celestial Realm, immortals live without wives, and Sullivan Yeats has spent his time there alone as Primeval Lord. Word reaches him of the Ruthless Sect in the mortal world below, where the sect hands out wives to its disciples and killing a wife is the accepted path to enlightenment, which leaves the women no route to ascend. Sullivan announces he is going down to inspect the sect and put it right. His actual interest is the part about disciples being given wives. He builds himself a false body, descends, and passes himself off as a low-ranking disciple. On his first day the Head Disciple reads him as the sort of man who gets cuckolded and assigns him the most beautiful wife in the sect.
